Developing The Whole Child

For 45 years, B’nai Israel Community Day School has been offering a nurturing, learning environment to children and their families. At B’nai Israel, we offer a diverse curriculum of daily and weekly classes in fine arts, nature classes, Jewish studies and more.  We are committed to developing the whole child and with that in mind, we work purposely to teach our children the importance of community engagement. Our goal is for our children to leave us with the tools to be successful as leaders in any community.

The teachers and staff truly care about all of the children and families at Bnai. It is a wonderful school with excellent programming and activities. We have been amazed to see how much our son learns every day, not only about traditional preschool academics, but character values as well.

I have had my children attend B'nai for 3 years now and have been consistently impressed with the quality of the education and the love and care from the teachers and staff. My son has learned so much since he has been there. He is always coming home with cool facts that he has learned from the guest speakers they bring in. Like when they bring in a beekeeper during Bee Week or go to the UF Fisheries while learning about water. They communicate about every change and are very diligent about security. I wouldn't send my kids anywhere else!

The Elementary School at B’nai Israel Community Day School is phenomenal. The small class sizes and tight-knit community of teachers and staff fosters a cohesive and safe environment. My child learned to read and write, add and subtract, and how to make challah, all through the Elementary School’s comprehensive academic and Judaics curriculum. I like that my child can learn in the classroom, as well as on the playground, in the school’s garden, and in the synagogue’s Kosher kitchen. Above all else, my child is very happy here.

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about B'nai Israel Community Day School. I have been working here since 2014 and have loved every minute of it. I started off as a floater, to a substitute, and now a lead teacher. I've learned so many things about the Jewish culture/beliefs and ways of becoming a better person. This school encourages diversity, religious beliefs, family values, confidence and an overall sense of pride in being the best person you can be. I would recommend this school to anyone who has young children.

Our son started at B’nai Israel Community Day School mid-year and instantly found himself at home. B’nai has nurtured and encouraged positive behaviors, great learning habits, and the concept of helping others. It has fostered a real excitement for Judaism. We could not imagine having our son in a better environment and look forward to next year.
