Shalom! My name is Ashley and I am the Alef class kindergarten teacher here at B’nai Israel. I am so excited to welcome my fourth year of teaching here at B’nai Israel, and I am honored to be apart of such an amazing school and community. I cannot wait to continue to develop and grow the elementary program here at B’nai Israel Community Day School. I have my bachelor’s in early childhood education from The State College of Florida.
In my free time… what little free time I have, I spend it with my mini-me Adelyn. We love to escape to the beach, specifically Siesta Key Beach and enjoy the salty air in our hair. We also love all things Disney and go as often as we can! I love crafting and creating. I live by the motto “I can totally make that.” I have dreams of starting a teaching blog, and one day building a teaching empire. In the meantime, I keep my feet grounded and my head where my feet are just moving forward. Life is too short not to.
Shalom! I’m Corina McBride and I am teaching environmental science and Teva for the elementary school. I am a true Gator at heart-I grew up here and then got my bachelors in Natural Resource Conservation from the school of Forest Resources and Conservation at UF. I’ve since moved to California to analyze efficiency metrics for the world’s second largest seed company and then overseas to teach environmental education with Girl Scouts in Switzerland. My teaching philosophy is centered around experiential learning and independence. I believe we all learn through open ended activities and creative crafts. I’m a “jump up and dust it off” type of gal and I empower my kids to get dirty and explore their world. I love sharing my passion for the outdoors with others and teaching basic survival and identification skills. When I’m not in a classroom you can find me camping, hiking with my dog or kayaking.
